Agree with arrow, you need a cross hatch pattern. Spirit of salts look like they done a good job.
I won't be using 3 litres....... unless motor really pee'd me of, then I might wash the bike in it to teach it a lesson.😖

Spirits of salt is acid to dissolve scale. And rust from a tank. Aluminum dissolves with soda na2co3 And with caustic soda its more powerful. I

Was trying to post earlier but was getting bombarded by pop ups so gave up
Was going to say oil the stones and run it in and out quickly with the drill at quite a low speed to get the cross hatch pattern
They work on a fresh ish bore but not so good on slightly worn
On a worn ypvs barrel it wouldn't touch the 10mm bit above the exhaust port

Agreed about the cross hatch pattern I did try to add some with a oiled scotchbright pad it worked quite well. Have to say I was peeved that Athena don’t include a gasket for the rear water hose to head connection what’s that all about? Top end is all built up now. I’ll finish off tomorrow, as it was bloody hot in our garage this afternoon.

She’s all finished started 3rd kick. Oil pump stroke, I don’t remember setting when I restored her I don’t know why I guess in the excitement I forgot. When I checked it it was not at .010 thou and it took some searching to find a small washer I could use as the start point and then add some of the factory shims To get it right.
I did also put LC pistons in this time, when it was rebored it came with YPVS pistons both Mikita ones 1.25 oversize but I thought I’d put LC ones as I had the choice.
Not ridden it yet WSBK and F1 on TV so it’ll have to wait for now
