Hello all,
I have been reading old posts from here off and on for a while now and thought it was about time I signed up. (and i would like to have a look through the classifieds
anyways. 30'ish years ago I brought my first LC I was only 16 at the time. All the bigger boys were going to Brands Hatch so I let my mate ride my LC with me on the back. Not too far into the trip she seized up due to lack of 2 stroke. Being young and dumb and full of er beans I took it to bits with the idea of making a hybrid or special as it was known. Like so many projects this one stalled at the build up stage I got as far as putting a ypvs swing arm into the chassis with all the relevant mounts. I then went proddy LC racing for a few very happy years. Back then LC parts were plentiful and I grabbed what ever came my way which was quite handy as I was known to bin it every now and then.
Racing stopped, life took over and apart from the occasional glance to the back of the garage the LC's have been sitting, just waiting for some love to live again. I would usually be busy doing other things with my weekends but seeing as that has all gone to pot at the moment I, like so many others, have been looking for something to distract my tiny mind from all the current crap flying about.
So here we are. in the waiting room we have.
TMX this is my first LC. matching numbers 350 4lo. I am probably going to put this one back to standard but a little voice keeps telling me to finish what I started and there are enough matching number homages to the original. jury is still out.
PKP this is my proddy bike. loved / cherished / crashed and bashed. I would love to think I would run it around the track again but in reality I don't bounce well any more. This one is probably going to get KR1 front and rear ended.
UAD this one I built up out of bits when I was racing so I could keep racing on the road - lol. I think this one is first on the operating table just to feel the rumble of the engine again and remember just how bad the brakes and handling are.
PNH this one is a 350R made in Brazil which a very dear friend gave me a long time ago. I will get to this one later.
That's my RD life story.
I am sure I will be needing some help on the way or just ideas really.
All the best
Mark
