Possibly both! In theory, the balls could jam of the aluminium backing plate wears as the balls get crushed. Would be worth checking after it has been in for a while. The backing plate is steel Rob. So should be ok. Be interesting to see if it keeps working for lots of miles...I was more thinking of the aluminium grooves wearing than the steel plate.

First hand experience with photographic evidence is more reliable than advertising blurb! Be good for everyone to see how it has held up.

I fitted it for sprinting as it locks the clutch up fast. The bike was making just under 70 pk and I don't think I need it for just riding the bike. For the rest I don't really think about it when riding around. It has the lightest clutch springs I could find, they are probably old LC springs that are knackered for normal use.

Make sure to run an earth from the engine to the frame/battery earth, as the Power dynamo has no earth connection to the engine, whereas the OEM loom does.

I approve! It's great if you can keep some original features, even if it's just that. Looking forward to seeing this finished mate.

If anyone is thinking about doing the Yzr alloy kick start swap. Make sure you have some quality drill bits. I trashed two Dorma bits drilling the knuckle. Itβs case hardened. Then you need to chamfer the groove to accept the bolt All done now

Hi Botty are you going to fit a de-aeration line in on the highest point of your engine? The fitting in this picture is no good, it was replaced with an elbow.
