Spent the day up at Dave’s (Mutts Nutts) today for set up on dyno been waiting a long time to get in there but well worth the wait man’s a star, he noticed bike wasn’t right as soon as it started first run 19 galloping horses carbs off stripped to confirm they were scrap, I took a risk with them cause they were badly corroded but you live and learn, fitted Dave’s test carbs 50bhp Dave continued to work his magic mapping and tweeking end result 58.3bhp Thankfully Dave sold me his carbs as he had another set he can use so I could go home with sweet running bike that sounds absolutely fantastic with the Alonze pipes can’t wait to ride it and quite pleased with myself being my first engine build, cannot recommend Dave enough he truly is the dogs danglies.

Great result I was up at Dave's a couple of weeks back with my 400. First dyno run shows what the bike is doing - Dave then decides on a course of action ie. upjet/downjet etc and he got it spot on in 2 jet changes. Priceless. And trawling the internet for base line figures for a 400e with Pwk carbs turned up virtually nothing, so the only way this was ever gonna be right was with Dave and his dyno. Top fella, top work Dusty

Absolutely I could spend years twiddling screws, Dave see’s a blip on screen and goes oh that’s a plug overheating I’ll pop some 9’s in it, a joy to watch need to do my 250lc now addictive this dyno lark

He offered me some ear defenders at the start of the day - I never wore them. It was a joy to hear the bike at full chat, and the smell of the burnt two stroke was just brilliant. A fantastic experience in it's own right, with the bonus of a dialled in bike. Glad you got a great result Dusty
