Tyre fitted, wheel bearings, speedo drive, discs and bolts - all new, to the front wheel SDC12037 I next fitted the modified Thunderace speedo drive, the drive had to be reduced in width to fit inbetween the R6 fork legs. It will drive a standard LC cable. SDC12038 New rear disc, wheel bearings, seals and bolts fitted to the rear wheel SDC12039Cheers, Mark

Some nice black shiny bits posted earlier. This is where we start to see what a great job you are doing as the other shiny and well engineered bits get bolted up.

Hi chaps, I’m experiencing the same as Dusty, I can’t post from my desktop which is where all my pictures are. Anyway, the rear end of the bike is built. Finally some good news on my gearbox shaft. After over 2 years I have the finished shaft, so once the crankshaft is built, the engine can go together. Pictures to follow😀
Cheers, Mark 😀

Hi mate, glad to hear the gearbox shaft is finally sorted. Took some time ! As for the pc problems - I'm now trying a system restore point. Dont know if thats gonna work, but I'm getting close to getting "medieval on it"🤬🤬

Hi mate, just to confirm, I can’t log on via my computer, only my phone. So I don’t think it’s just a virus on your computer. I’m now paralysed on posting pictures. I hope it gets sorted soon

Yeah, I can log on Last week I mentioned about building the rear end, so swingarm, rear wheel fitted SDC12043 YSS, rear shock fitted, with re finished bolts SDC12044 I referbed the seat catches and fitted them using new Yam JIS screws SDC12046 SDC12047 Also, as said earlier, I finally have my gearbox shaft back, finished. It's been over 2 years getting it made through these mad days of Covid. My minor frustration seem insignificant, compared to the people who have lost loved ones because of the virus. My thoughts go out to anyone who has lost someone dear to them because of Covid. Mark

Happy Christmas everyone, I'm posting today as I'm out all day tomorrow I refurbed the rear caliper, with new seals, s/s piston and replaced any worn parts plus new zinc plating on everything else. It's the caliper from Honda NC29 to match the swingarm SDC12045 Rear subframe fitted using gen Yam bolts and washers (note the modified rear bracket for the rear inner mudguard and new indicator brackets) SDC12048 Lastly, my new 4 coil bracket fitted. I forgot to photograph the forks and front wheel being fitted, but you can see the front end is built SDC12050Everything fits so far- I'm ready for a sting in the tail. Right, Christmas day evening, I'm getting wrecked Cheers, Mark

Thanks andy748 and Steeley, and Happy New Year to all of you More bolting on bits, the rear tray is next SDC12052 Followed by the air box- this was once again the most time consuming part to make SDC12051I fitted the wiring loom next and the fabricated headlight brackets. I used stainless steel bolts as you can polish them after taking any raised numbers off with a flap wheel SDC12053 Lastly I fitted the coils, four of them needed for the 36,000 sparks per minute needed to get this engine at peak revs . Double that number as it's a wasted spark set up SDC12054I have to mention Muttsnuts at this point, we chatted about the ignition system and clutch, and came up with the best design. I had put my ideas forward on the ignition and clutch and Dave told me what was possible. He supplied all the parts. Dave is one of the nicest, people to deal with, great knowledge and integrity. Cheers, Mark
