Hi Apart from below what else is needed to properly convert a 250 4L1 to 350 LC? Front brake set up, oil pump, top end ,carbs? Thanks.

The crankcase studs are longer for the 4L0 barrels so ‘top end’ needs to include those in case you hadn’t already.

I don't think that's right reedpete. I used to run my 4L1 as a 4L0 and didn't have to change the studs. The two bikes have the same stroke, it's a difference in bore that gives the larger capacity.

Yep stroke is the same but the 4l0 barrels are taller than 4L1 since the pin to crown height io the piston is different . Situation is the same on the AC RD which I’m more familiar with, However I did go to look at the 4L1 parts list to check and actually couldn’t see any barrel studs !! So can’t 100% confirm but they should be 5-6mm longer.

Never had the stud issue, done a few 350-on-250 swaps, but it does make sense. To be honest tho, the nuts are really long compared to say the yovs versions, so they grab enough thread i guess.

250 and 350 barrel studs are the same length/part number.
