Well the painter will be delivering my bodywork this afternoon, as he is fitting the side panel and tail piece stickers when the panels are on the bike so they all line up perfectly. Pics later today

Just had a few spins around the village and it ran like shit under load, so swapped and changed the jets and removed the alloy boost bottle I had made and put the one Mr Yamaha spent millions designing back on and a 180 jet which is what it was running in the first place and guess what! It runs sweet and has the right colour on the plug. Moral of the story leave the f**k alone RESULT.

I should have filled the old boost bottle with water and taken measures for the new one then it would have worked.

I have put my bike for sale on ebay, and had a guy say my bike is fake on a C plate!!! lol
I explained the MK11 has different engine casings, wheels, clocks, larger forks, different handlebars etc
I said don't waste my time pal.
The world is full of bellends at least know the product you are potentially looking to purchase.

I thought getting the decals to perfectly match original would be the hardest part ozzy. I'm in the same boat as you, got a very low mile tank from mint original bike with small scuff on top and thick rust inside.

The world is full of bellends at least know the product you are potentially looking to purchase. It is very rare in the UK to see early MK1s on later plates as they were good sellers. When I bought my new one from Flitwick motorcycles in 84 they only had one bike in showroom, just been prepped and I took it. My imported 82 10W bike in Candy Blue was first registered in 1990 and I couldnt bring myself to put it on a 'G' plate, even though that represented its story. so used a dating cert and got an 'X', in some ways what I've done is 'fake' lol As for idiot ebayers, the ones looking for swaps thinking they're doing you a favour annoy me the most. I've been offered a modified Ford Fiesta, pair of pit bikes, 4-stroke 125s, various tatty crossers.

People have even asked me to buy parts off my bike, ie Micron, and another guy asked if I would sell the bodywork!
It's on ebay for 7 days and if it doesn't sell I will hang onto it for a while, as ebay ended my last listing with 52 watchers as I said no paypal as they lift your leg.
I have just done a 10 mile round trip and have grinned from ear to ear all the way I am now going to sit and look at it and have a can!

Over the last few weeks since I completed the little RD it ran smoothly up to 5k the spluttered it's way to 6,500rpm then took off like a scalded cat, I have just had a little play with the needle height and moved the circlip up a notch so it is now 2nd from the top and job do runs crisp and smooth all the way through the rev range, I'm going for a ride out on it now.
