Started putting things together tonight, the engine is not bolted together due to waiting for my shiny bits to be completed by the chromers, I had another little bodge of a surprise tonight! the guy who built the engine used a paper base gasket instead of a genuine tin one, and he had put the locating dowels in the wrong place in the crankcase! This caused the genuine gasket only to fit upside down, so after trying to remove the dowels with no success I had to make the 2 M8 holes on one side my tin gasket 10mm, WHICH WAS FUN without buggering up the gasket.

Thanks lads,
I am just waiting for the chain guide rubber to arrive from Japan then the rear end can go in, It is also wired up now so all I need is a new paint jobs and a few bit's & bob's and it's done.
I darn't count up how much it has cost though.

Great work going on here. That bike needs to be at a show when it's done. You've made the swing arm look NOS using paint, as the welds are still defined and a bit of spatter still visible , good stuff you lose all that, using powder

Thank you for your compliments, I doubt I would win any prizes in any shows as it isn't original but it's built into what I wanted back in 1986 as a lad. All parts were painted by myself apart from the frame, but my mate owns Powder & paint so he powder coated the frame very thin so the frame number is very easily readable and it looks like paint. I just need to fork out for a nice paint job next
