...head light mount/brackets are different too, 250 headlight bracket has the mount for the single horn, 350 headlight brackets dont.

...head light mount/brackets are different too, 250 headlight bracket has the mount for the single horn, 350 headlight brackets dont. Im not sure that the OP wants a 350 look alike just the extra cc/power,although i could be wrong. If it was me i would just upgrade the front brake, and look at a mild port, dremmeled reed cages and possibly some reed upgrade aswell as possibly some exhausts and that would probably see performance close enough to what you need. The benefit of keeping the CC as a 250 is that 250 top end parts are cheap as chips should they be needed. My intention is to do something similar to mine over the winter but im trying to hang on to the standard exhausts so that the bike will other than the extra disc look standard. I will be lookiing into the possibility of either getting the exhausts opened and extra holes drilled in the plates,or maybe even attempt it from the wheel side without them being taken apart, but i havnt done any homework on it as yet. One thing i will add though is when i stripped my bike i never noticed the reed cages were dremmeled prior to me owning it and refitted them after the restore.Sometime after i had them off and then noticed they had been done and replaced them with std cages and new reeds.I was pretty suprised how much difference they made to the power band pull and the std cages were back in the garage collecting dust the day after where they have been ever since. rdlccrazy.proboards.com/thread/22645/rd250-bag?page=22#page=21.

Hi, I have had these barrels for years, obviousely someone has milled off the 347cc bit. My only thoughts are, someone has done this years ago in an attempt to turn a 250 into a 350 on the Q.T. It must have been before the days of too many folk knowing about 4L1 and 4L0, as the the 4L0 has been left on, which is obviousely a give away. Im wondering if people did this when you could still drive a 250 on "L" plates? but I have never seen another set of barrels with the 347cc milled off. steven.
