Hi all , I'm presently ( still ) building my lc hybrid , I 've bought a complete ducati 916 front end to go in it , but the yokes need too much work to fit . So I'm now going down the billet yoke road . Can anyone reccomend someone to do the job ? The two quotes I've had so far are £570 (NK racing) & £1000 ( gulp ) from Alan Witton both are ' a bit ' on the expensive side for me .... Can anyone help ? Cheers Ps , I've had my vj23 RGV swinger modded and rearsets made by Nigel at NK and he's done a top job on them )

From personal experience, and what I have heard from others; Nigel does a great job as far as quality is concerned. You even agree.
As far as cost ... If you've ever seen and added up how much is involved you'd be surprised. Material cost, CAD design time, machining time, CAM cost and maintenance. Some machining takes many hours for a single piece. My local machinist has just had to replace one of his lathes pair of headstock bearings at a cost of around £2,000.
For most people our hobby might not be cheap, but the rewards are high.

Could try 'moveitdriver' on here... Works at Metmachex (his dad owns it), and has been doing some billet stuff on here.

Thanks for the leads chaps , will follow them up and let you know how I get on ... Yes I totally agree about price / quality , I do believe you get what you pay for in this world , it's just that I set a total in my head for this project ( £5 k ) and already gone past that and I'm nowhere near finished .... The statement somebody said about these 'projects 'that think of a target then double it , seems to be ringing true ! Lol . Money pit and I need to do more overtime seem to be ringing in my ears aswell !!! Lol . It'll be worth it in the end I know ... Will keep you posted :
