Wheeled out for the first time this morning! I need to get it to Jimmy's so he can fit the bodywork and line up the paint work, he's already started and has the white coat on. Once he has the lines marked I can get it back and continue while he finishes the painting, hopefully by the end of the weekend Attachments:

Hi Again, I have been busy, honest, just haven't had time to upload updates! Anyway, here we go, Rear brake fitted.......just a decal to go on I don't think there are any decals on the rear caliper, just the front two. That will save you a few minutes! Steve

Hi Norbo, Thanks for the offer, let's see where we are after the weekend, these projects swing wildly one way then the next, although I do accept time is rapidly running out! Actually, I do think it will be a nice bike once finished and looking back, I've got a lot done in quite a short space of time....it was a shed just a few months ago and looking not too bad at the mo! Thanks for all the positive comments, Chris

Don't forget the Gary Routledge Ride Out & Show organised by my friend Dale, next week on Bank Holiday Monday. A fantastic day out and all welcome at mine for tea or coffee! I've been getting my bikes ready for the show, the RD500 is now at Armstrongs, the new water pump drive arrived via ebay from Greece!!!?? Hopefully Kevin will get it fitted, I'll get the bodywork from Jimmy on Tuesday and have the bike ready for Saturday?? Well, I'll be trying! I do have a back up plan though, I got my RZV500 ready, took it out yesterday and it was hoot to ride, but haven't given up yet! Attachments:

Hi Toot, Sorry about that, I thought you meant the one's I had posted. I guess it all depends on how many bikes turn up for the show. Cheers Chris

Well, this is where I got to... a valiant effort if I say so myself but once remnants of wire wool mixed with two stroke found itself in the engine, between a piston and sleeve and also looked like traces in the crankcase, it was game over! No option but to accept defeat and the only course of action was to stop and accept the engine needs to come out. Never mind, I'll get it finished soon and it will be a decent bike, so looking forward to finishing it and getting it out and about. Thanks to you guys who came up for the ride, at least you saw the bike yourself and you know what it looked like just a few months ago, quite incredible really, and I hope you had a fantastic day! Was a valiant effort chris and a shame it wasn't finished but in the end fate was against you and I saw the bike and the amount of work you got done was incredible

It did rain in the end so glad mine was in the trailer and not rode home. It was ok for you tho, ride it home with no helmet
