Apart from checking tyre pressures and putting battery back on the bike I had it all ready for a little run out today, that was until I could only find one of the 2 oblong nuts to secure the wires for the battery , so I knew I had some somewhere and when finally found they was 6mm and not the 5mm I wanted and 6mm bolt wouldn't go through the hole in the battery, so I did some gardening ☹ And then the post man turned up Mart That’s crying out to be polished! sure does and i pick it up next week the place i took it to www.chromerestorationspecialist.co.uk/ are into there bikes and had a couple of nice Suzuki a T250 and a GT550 on show in the reception and rides to work on a mint XT500 , i will get a few pics next week as they are all minters mart

Dropped bodywork off at painters. Told 4 weeks. Clock is now ticking Painters have no concept of Earth time, it must be the fumes they breathe in, in my experience 4 weeks means at least 6 months!

Went to Brands last night to see a mate do a track day on his PV. Good old British thunderstorm levelled the field but still a good night 👍🏻

Re-installed the chainguards on the TDR and LC. TDR 'guard has been in a box since I took it off the bike 23 years ago. LC 'guard came off when I got the bike 3 or so years ago. Despite triple digit temps 106*f (42*C), I'll be taking both bikes to a club event at the local dragstrip this friday evening.

Some cool looking boards hanging down there. Can you tell me what they are? Alex L-R: New Deal "Andrew Morrison" (early '90's), Destroyer kid size (daughter's), Fixer "Piranha Cruiser 8.25" (beer runner), Makaha Oak/Mahogany (mid '60's). Thanks for asking, Alex. Brittle old bones don't let me skate much any more but it's still in my blood. Get my kicks mostly on a snowboard now. The lifts are only about an hour away, and falling on snow is a lot less painful.

Haha! I know what you mean. I've been skating since I was about 10, then migrated to long boards, and sadly sold mine a few years back. I had a Logan Earth Ski when I was 15 and always wanted another. Just to hang on the wall really. The prices these days are unreal.

And today was the day....bit of ‘pre test inspection’ and a couple of tweaks....and I’ve now the pass I need. need mr D to do me a dating certificate as that avoids DVLA having to think, and then off goes my application! whilst I’m waiting for that I’ll probably spin some spanners on an Aircooled project.
