Took the cover off my resto today and realised I hadn't touched it for far too long, Its taken me over 7 years to get it where it is but can't ever see it getting finished. Maybe time to consider selling? When I have the time I don't have the money, when I have the money I just don't have the time. Keep it... when you have the money, buy the parts. When you have the time, fit them.

I'm guessing that the best approach is to just take sections of a bike build at a time otherwise the whole thing becomes too daunting. Setting and completing smaller tasks every few weeks/months must help with money & time constraints too.

It’s hard to look at this and not think of that tobacco chewing southern nut job of a sheriff from that 007 movie.

Today i swapped out the swingarm so i could size up pv one with KR1 wheel............then stripped out the garage searching for the bushing and both spindles. I did really well and found just about every piece of junk i have hoarded for the last 40 odd years. But no bushing and no spindles. Swore loads blaming everyone and everything except me,......then sat in the garage with a stella apologising to elsie for swearing at her. Didn't help, still found nothing.

It’s hard to look at this and not think of that tobacco chewing southern nut job of a sheriff from that 007 movie. I take it that this photo were taken recently? For those of us who are not familiar with that make/model of car, what's the story with that then? Obviously it's a classic so is it really being used by the cops today or is it just on show/privately owned shall we say??

That car is parked by a petrol station and ‘coffee trailer’ some 25 miles from my house on the edge on a place called Leipers Fork, Tennessee. The car is just a display. A Pontiac of some sort. Looks like it really was once a working cop car. On the other side of the town there’s a black and white version which can cause your heart to falter knowing you’ve been decimating the 45mph speed limit for the last twenty but we don’t have speed cameras here yet- so far so good. The black and white is usually accompanied by a General Lee, a copy of the Dukes of Hazzard car, but it’s been missing recently- I’m thinking maybe because the rooftop confederate flag is a bit of an issue In the current climate. I stop by that brown cop car a lot because it’s about halfway on a mostly trafficless loop that I’ve been doing recently. the coffee place serves a great espresso...and on weekends....doughnuts. It’s the simple things.

Started to give my bike a proper clean today. Everything was going good until i found the crack in the swing arm. Oops Finally cleaned the bike up and fixed the swing arm. Took it out for a good ride today with its Sunday best on Just been invited to a track day in Mettet, i guess its a good excuse to get some colour back in the pipes.

I know not an LC but I think these have the spirit of the LC.....plus...look...a church. Don't know if you folks across the pond know but our disabled signs don't use the word 'Handicapped' any more. I gather that those in power deemed that word to be offensive years ago? I certainly haven't seen it for a long time.

My apologies for posting something other than an LC on this thread yesterday. I hope 3 Hail Marys and a Mars Bar absolves me. Absolutely no offence taken/apology needed on my part, it were just an observation really, just got me thinking that many folk in the States may not know that that phrase isn't used in the UK anymore.

Had coffee with the ‘difficult’ member of the family. BBNFA. Boost bottle never fixed anything. Complete rebuild on the cards, one day. Fingers crossed Dusty’s rebuild threads are still around when that day comes. moments later, Cinderella’s coach passed by. The Driver? Grandpa Walton on his mobile.... Of course...

As it’s the 40th year anniversary I fancied a standard ish LC so after a bit haggling with a mate I got a project, kept me busy throughout lock down. New bodywork/paint and engine rebuild and the micron copy pipes.
