Fitted the bars, levers, new grips and bar ends I was going great guns. Was being the pivotal word. Decided to bleed the brakes as I have rebuilt calipers and master cylinder. For some strange reason the fluid just would not leave the master cylinder so I stupidly drained as much as I could with rags everywhere as a precaution but guess I left a gap. Fcuking brake fluid all over the new paint job on the rear wheel. Not only can I still not bleed the brakes but 6 hours later I'm still fuming I made such a bloody stupid error. I could have sety fire to the bike if the tank had of been fitted. What a w**ker.

Got my 500 out today for the first time in 4 months, adjusted the chain, topped up the 2 stroke, did the tyres, and then out for 20 minute run. Started after about 5 kicks so happy with that.

pulled the motor out,and stripped it down ready for rebuild due to motor getting hungry and eating left hand piston.got 2 groves on crankshaft on l/h/s where seal sits.dont know whether it was drawing air in because of this,or maybe i had the seal fitted the wrong way round.it ran well until the eating thing.will get the timing sorted this time aswell, and measure combustion volume etc before rebuild.

today i arr bin trimming and edging.last time out i had 6mm reed spacers fitted, and noticed an improvement in the 'hole' at 5-6k.wanted to try the valve rubber and balance pipe thing, but didnt want to completely remove the wings,as i guess yammy made them the shape for a reason.so i trimmed my gaskets to fit over the wings on the valve rubbers, fitd 2 gaskets to the rubbers with the 6mm spacer over top, then trimmed the end of the wings flush with the spacer,so now my lc reeds will but up nicely, and only had to remove 1.5mm from the ends of the wings.

The internal dimensions are different, YPVS will fit the LC but not the other way round

ok.i bought some off e bay for the lc and have been having a play as you can see from above.they dont fit around the o ring part of pv rubbers, but nor do they the lc ones, but they fit over the wings,so i figured on using a gasket and seeing how we go.mine were advertised as lc spacers, but i spose they could have been made for pv,s.
