Fitted the LED headlight bulb that tlmark recommended 👍 and apart from trying to get it to fit in the recess properly, it was a breeze. Also fitted 2 to the Fazer Thou and they dropped in place without a hitch. So the problem most likely with the LC bulb holder! ... Nice! I have ordered the same bulb, plus an LED taillight bulb for my RD400 Daytona. I'm fitting a HPI ignition and it has a super lightweight flywheel / charging system, so it needs LED bulbs to keep the battery topped up.

That TDR looks great fun! It is! I’ve owned this TDR for over 25 years now. (Almost) always puts a smile on my face.

I noticed when fitting them to the Fazer, the usual dimming of the warning lights etc when flicking from dip to main (80w - 100w x2) had gone, presumably due to the low power usage of the LED's, compared to the old halogen bulbs.

Today…
Pulled the barrels from an F2 I used to own Got browned off at the local Yamaha dealer Looked at the 31k and closed the garage door
Going to buy an R1 for the missus because I’m buying an LC at the weekend and she thinks it’s only fair - not sure how that works…

Bought some Vaseline - gonna need it this weekend. Bought a load of genuine Yamaha parts that are obsolete Got the cash to pay for the LC this Saturday Sorted cash for the R1 on Tuesday
Almost £8k out the door, it’s gonna be beans on toast or super noodles for a while. Problem is, now I can’t buy all the trick bits I need…
First world problems, how will I manage!!!

A blast down to the coast today. Birling Gap. It's great to see you always out and about on your bike with your mates. I wish i lived closer. If you did you’d be more than welcome to join us. We have a WhatsApp group of 29 RD nuts. When we’re out and about and meet fellow RD riders we end up chatting and invite them to join in with the banter and rides. There’s about a dozen of us that are regular riders throughout the year.

Ok It’s said that you can tell the kind of person someone is by how they undertake and complete certain tasks. Like, cutting a lawn - good lines and stripes indicate an ordered mind Parking, neat, accurate and correctly positioned suggest a careful and mindful persona. Therefore, this picture is about right for some RD owners…! 😊

Those 'bobbins'...a handy tip. An aerosol spray button are the perfect fit for those. I have a load saved from old cans for that very reason. Instant masking.

Went out on Blue LC yesterday to drop off an Ebay delivery to Malvern. Nice 100 mile trip :-)
Then thrashed it to and from the bike Cafe today.
It is an awesome experience to thrash a well sorted LC. Love the sound of the TSA exhausts. Love the power delivery. Also saw two jets fly past.

Stripped the fairing and headlight off to get the headlight bracket off the 31k as mine has developed a couple of cracks from my wheelying i guess. Off to the welders as they seem to be rocking horse poo. Today i'll be taking the carbs off as it seemed to be not running on the left side at tickover and sluggish to rev up. Once on the main jets it flew. So guessing the pilot jets blocked

The blue frame looks great but I can’t get my head around that. One of the current RD projects (there are 4 on the go) has a similar colour frame, The previous decorator even painted wheel bearing dust covers and silly things that need to be black. She is going to the shot blasters over the winter and a repaint in black.

So registered my bike as a historic vehicle, which gave me a kick up the ass to get it back on the road after 2 years. Stripped the carbs put them in the cleaner, had to replace the fuel lines as all gone hard and brittle, thanks to this new petrol. They’ve only been on the bike 3 years 😳. Changed a leaking petrol tap. Bobs your uncle. No tax or mot to pay for 💪 Back on the road…
