Off shift today, nice weather for it, so wheeled the bike out for the first ride of the year for me, apart from realizing straight away I had no back brake, really enjoyed it, but emphasised how much I do use the rear entering corners. Quick bleed when I got home revealed lots of air in the system, somehow over winter its accumulated in the caliper. But great to be out again.

Cleaned the N1 and took it for a blast, running well, also dragged the RGV out and thrashed it, still needs the carbs sorting. Andy. IMG_2759 by Andrew Jolly, on Flickr IMG_2768 by Andrew Jolly, on Flickr

Trimmed up some belly pan decals and applied them as best as I could to my lid, quite pleased with the outcome...also took it for a good run of course.

Saturday, took a ride over to Bob Minions in Derby to look at a few bikes for a new work CB650 just okay , looks in in HRC colours though CB 500X ! something different, then while that way went up to CMC at Clay cross to look at MT07 thats what I am really after I think , the place wall rammed with bikers, wanted it quite to see if I could get time to have a ride on one.But no , all the sales guys want to do is sell you finace on a new bike.
Anyways just riding south out of Clay cross and a blue lc came up behind, then passed me , not sure on what oil he was one but a real smoke screen , anyway rode along with him a while both turned of on the smaller road down to Ambergate, and in a garden right on the side of the road some bird with the small bikini on bent over gardening! We went another mile and found a pull in , both of us burst out laughing . Anyways turns out the guys local to Clay cross and just brought a candy blue 4L1 / 350 rebuilt bike. He had it from Fastline? in Preston. Looked to have all the 350 bits with 4l1 crankcases and frame , he name is Gary. Said he had heard about Norbo, told him to get on the forum. He went right at Ambergate , I went back to Belper then home. Been out today also running some Shell premium 99 oct fuel , my bike looks to going really well, though put in over 30 pounds of fuel and litre of 2t . Pricey to run these LC's.

Took the 4 carbs off and reset the float heights and cleaned them out. Fitted the exhausts. Bastid to get the top 2 inside the bodywork. Bit of cutting and welding. Get the rear bodywork all bolted on to make sure everything fits before paint. Fiddled with the wiring up front. Get the indicators and horn working. Enough for today.

Fitted a powerdynamo to my 4lo last night. Just need to set the timing now. +1 for the powerdynamo Kit When I fitted mine I just needed to make up a peg spanner to fit the rotor to stop it rotating on its taper while tightening the rotor center once engine is timed👍
