done a bit more today ,seeing as the belly pan had been cut to fit the 350 micron thought i would tidy it up and slim it down a bit as the standard fit is a bit bulky , here is the one have retrimed and flatted ready for paint against the new fibreglass replacement i purchased off norbo . hope to get it in primer tomorrow .

got it running but was rattling its arse off also clutch wouldnt engage , turned out when i bought the bike he told me engine was rebuilt so i striped it and rebuilt it as previous posts , gave me old broken piston which he broke locking crank to get flywheel off checked bore on barrel was mint and piston he gave me was brand new so thought no more of it turns out he has bought a 0.25 oversized piston ,checked and cleaned top of old piston to find it should be 0.75 (thought it went together easy seem to remember struggling to get piston and ring into bore years ago when i used to rebuilt my 125 regularly lol) no wander it had a bit of piston slap ;D so waiting on replacement . as for clutch there was a shim missing when i rebuilt it so used one out of my stock ,turns out it was too thick and would not let the inner and outer clutch basket move independently ,replaced this and seems to work now ,so just waiting gasket set so i can rebuild it again have checked and double checked everything this time

My mk2 engine had a top end rebuild by a garage and it sounded like a tractor when I got it back turns out the barrel had ovaled gave them another barrel and told them to fix it or else. Started it up the other week and it sounds very quiet now so even the so called pros get it wrong.
