That'll look sweet once done, the red panels goes very well with the blue anodised parts! PS: You need a blue anodised gearbox oil lid.

well side panel and tail section sticker'd and lacquer'd , ;D also got brake calliper finished and hosed up a quick trial fit but need flatting yet anyone know why my seat doesn't seem to sit low enough at the back the gap between seat and body panels doesn't look right to me

Coming along nice. About the seat - I suspect there may be two different types of seats. I have one seat with no major gap at the plastic piece at the rear (see pic below), BUT it looks like the bottom of the seat goes too far back, right where it starts to "bend" upwards. The other seat I got looks just like yours with a huge gap, but from memory the bottom of the seat fitted better against the plastic panels. Here's the good seat anyway: Edit: I found a pic of the crap seat with the huge gap at the rear. Not the best angle but it looks just like yours:

cheers billy thought of spacing the seat catches a bit to pull it down tighter as when you push the seat down it sits nice

that looks a better fit ,wander if mk 1 ,2 and 3 are slightly different thought they were all the same ? I've been thinking about it and I'd say it is most likely the older seats (1983 anyway, probably 1982 aswell) that fits better. I'm far from sure though but I'll look into it further. I need to go down to the basement and look at the stuff. We also have two red seats, and I think these are from YPVS? I don't think any Mk1 came with red seat but please correct me if I'm wrong. I'll check and see if these seats fits nice or not. EDIT: cheers billy thought of spacing the seat catches a bit to pull it down tighter as when you push the seat down it sits nice Hehe, I was actually gonna suggest that but figured it may not work that well on the 125 bikes. I did it on the 350 thogh, I just used M6 washers between the frame and seat locks and it brought the seat down perfectly, so it's worth a try. The 350 seat didn't have a gap quite as bad as the crappy looking 125 seats can have though, but it did make a big difference.

made a start on the tank today getting it to bare metal around 10 coats of paint later and it has a lot less filler in it than i expected ,looked like it was full of it ,must have been all the layers of paint so not much left to do now then fill around 4 dents and paint

Huh whattayaknow, was it easy to fit the pipe? I can see you did something at the rear mount so I assume it didn't fit to 100%? EDIT: Sorry, I forgot about the seat stuff. I'll see if I can check it sometime soon.

there is a small plate welded on to extend mounting bracket (was done prior to me getting it) but other than that bolts straight on ,needs bellypan cutting to allow fitment (but one came with it cheers jackup) .
