Thanks. Can't remember but just search on eBay for led 501 bulbs. I got a set of around 8 I think for a good price. There's loads of different types but this style seem a better quality. All the best ian

Thanks yogi I've pm'd you the details. So the chemical metal didn't work on the lock stops so I tried quicksteel. That didn't work either. They both just fell off on the first turn of the bars. Removed all that and migged the centre of a nut in place then filled around it with quicksteel. Blew it all over with, yep you've guessed it, smoothrite. You'd never know the difference now. Good job!! Got the front end all fitted back up with headlamp brackets and an led headlamp to go on. Will post pics up on Monday

The led bulb has leds all around it so it should illuminate the number plate (albeit in red lol). If it doesn't you can but tiny LEDs or number plate bolts with LEDs incorporated for that purpose. Number plate lights are not an mot requirement on bikes so don't worry about that but are a legal requirement. (I know as I am a car and bike tester) I hadn't actually thought about this properly till you asked this question!! (Good job I don't care innit? Lol)

You're welcome. I'm sure the guy will know what he's doing. I used to own a garage/alloy wheel shop and was quite big in the refurbishing game. The place I used to use put copper slip over the faces where the discs bolt to etc then it just peeled off easily with a Stanley blade. The guy I used for my wheels this time reckons copperslip might get hot in the oven and spit. He used some heat proof masking tape to cover the areas. Quick turnaround you're getting eh? Let's see some pics as soon as its back. All the best

Hi mate yeah sounds ok to me. Just make sure about masking/copper slipping anywhere that needs to be left uncoated. There's various thoughts and ways off doing this so seek advise first. Good luck mate

Im with everyone on this, I've gone through about 6 or 7 different ideas for mine. I thought about blue and love ford performance blue. I've seen a couple of cars this colour that have been properly waxed and it looks stunning. I've dabbled a bit with car detailing and if you get the right wax you can get the paint to look like it's wet. Very very nice!!

Yah I agree here's to this season. Still fairly sure there was a bit of a Spanish conspiracy though. And for Lorenzo to go matching into race direction to complain about his own team mate, well..... Anyway here's a couple of stats for y'all

Thanks mate. It's a mate of mine that does car wheels in west London so I can put you in touch with him if you like. Fairly sure he'd do other bits too. Let me know. All the best mate and keep up the good work Ian

Hhmmmm interesting zzzzzzzzzzz statement. Greatest ever I said and I am correct. Who else has won so many titles against so many world class riders in so many different classes? Perhaps check the history for yourself?? Yes it will be nice to see some younger riders in the mix and we have a good couple of British talents.I think your statement that he doesn't stand a chance is a little excessive. Marquez is very fast but dirty, Lorenzo is very consistent but has no personality, Stoner is very fast but just whinges constantly. We shall see what happens eh? Just one more thing COME ON ROSSI!!!!! WHOOOP WHOOOOOOOOOOP LOL Ps that's a bit harsh on Tony marsbar calling him a sh...... Oh I thought it said stabber looolllooollll

Polished is very nice but can be high maintenance. I found a chrome powdercoat for my wheels which looks almost polished but very easy to keep clean, just a wipe over with a degreaser. I liked low maintenance lol

Moto gp starts again this weekend lads and lasses. So, maybe for the final year (hopefully not) lets get behind Valentino Rossi! In my humble opinion the greatest rider of all time. Come on Rossi, show those miserable, personalityless (real word??!!) whinging ass munchers what its all about. Numero 46!!!!!!!!!

Found the rear subframe was slightly off skew so gave it a twist and bolted everything back on and all seems well. Might need a slight tweak when all finished but a lot better. Also this arrived today. Truly stunning!!! Very happy!!!

English, Irish and Scottish men having a chat about the names of their sons. English man says "I called my son George as he was born on St George's day" Scotsman says "I called our wee boy Andrew as he was born on St. Andrew's day" Paddy is sitting there listening to this and calls to his son to come over to them. "Pancake, come over here and tell these fellers when you were born"

Also noticed something a bit wonky on the back end so I'm gonna take off the panel to see if it's that, the subframe or the inner tray I've chopped and moved forward. I am a self confessed perfectionist and I like everything to be as perfect as possible. Can you spot my tiny indicators? ? And oh yeah I got the call today to say that my seat is done and on its way back to me. Whoop whoop!!!!!

Hi Jon, I was just feckin about, I'm fairly sure I've decided what colour I'm goin with. Ally would be better but the bloke doing them owes me a favour and they only work with steel so I cant complain (it's free) Lcyoungboy, thanks. Clear lens from norbo, led bulb off eBay. I've got no power yet but it should work 100% as its a direct replacement for a 380 bulb (double filament) LEDs are the way forward plus there's no nasty redness seen through the lens. Got the chemical metal sanded down and smoothrited today so all the front end can go back on. Headlamp brackets have arrived so just deciding what headlamp to go for. I've got a feeling it's gonna be some kind of led business goin on!!!

Thanks my man. I've got my idea but I'm gonna keep it under wraps till it's actually done. Want it to be a surprise for everyone (plus don't want anyone copying it lol). Different and original but with a classic theme. Watch this space mwaaaahhhhh hhaaaahhaaaaaa

Thanks, not too sure yet Matt. Purple was my favourite colour back in the day I'll have you know. Keeping it along the same lines I may visit some other musical talents for some inspiration. Might go yellow (Coldplay) or maybe gold (spandau ballet) thought about a bit of David Essex silver dream machine, Zz top brown sugar or maybe a bit of Tom Jones green green grass.......... Aside from all that I think I have decided but keep changing my bloody mind so I'm just gonna do it and see what appens!!!! I was gonna try and get on a photoshop thing to design some paint schemes/ideas. I'm crap at visualising that's the problem....
