Wasn't any info with it Steve. Cant decide whether I like it or not ? Me either What I will say is that its about the best fitting kettle transplant I've seen The motor is so long and bulky it usually looks like a parasite taking over the bike Bodywork made me think Honda but wheels/brakes points to Suzuki Steve I think that bodywork is an old Honda VF400F, not sure of the frame, maybe homemade, maybe modded VF? Hi mouse , yes that's exactly right just toutches, ok so that's the solution, I wanted to check to see if we had the wrong calliper or something! I will put it in the mill and take a smidge out of the bracket. Thank you 😊 Hey, no prob, i don't have a mill, so did mine with a hand file, it's probably only a couple of mm. As an aside i ended up binning the set up and went back to a standard RGV caliper, the Brembo caliper was hopeless! mouse

Hi Chris, re the Brembo caliper catching the Tyga bracket, yes! Mine did, in the middle of the bracket where the caliper is rounded to allow for the piston, it touched the bracket below the 'YG' of Tyga if that makes sense?
I ended up gently filing away part of the bracket with a round file then painting the bare aluminium black. You don't need to file away a lot.
I did contact Tyga about this and they told me it had never happened to anyone else, yes, sure...

Got my new logbook for my 31k back, now registered as historic!
So all three of my LC's are zero tax and no MOT, joy, the FZ will be next!

I suspect you have the wrong speedo drive too, as Dusty says. I think the drive you need should have a tab on it like an RGV one which would locate against the tab on the forks. The drive you have, has a slot which is nowhere near the tab on the forks.
I have done a quick bit of research and early Mitos had rwu forks and later ones like yours, upside down, so might they not have different speedo drives, still both Cagiva parts but each designed to work with the relevant forks?

For those, like me who only have 'Freeview' (Quest channel) on their TV, from 11am to 5pm they are showing the first round of the 2024 BSB championship!
Also for the first time, this round is from Spain at Navarra.
If it's anything like the last few seasons of BSB, it should be fantastic!

Just register your bike as 'historic' in the taxation class at the post office and your bike will be ULEZ compliant, plus free tax and no MOT required!
Your bike will qualify as it is over 40 years old!

Those brakes have come up a treat, Ovi has surpassed himself!
All looking great Dusty, the only thing, with those 'powerhouse' kits, everytime i've used them the bleed nipples they supply are useless. They never seem to seal properly and i end up using the original, hope you have better luck though!

Alex, have you filed away enough of the lock stop? The problem was the frame (steering head) was sitting on the lock stop I think you need to file it away until it is level with the bottom yoke and in the pics it doesn't look it. hope that makes sense?

Took my 31k's logbook to the post office to register it as 'historic', so no more road tax or MOT's.
That will be all three LC's registered as 'historic' now, YES!

That looks very nice! Looks like it's all there, seat looks as though not recovered that well but hey. I think that is just a later colour scheme but a gen Suzuki one.
Not sure i would bother with the 400, not if you really want a 750.
I would move quick Alex, maybe try and see it this weekend?
