Thing is it happens far more in reality than you’d believe. Hoover pipes, bottles, food items. Then animals fighting back. The explanations used to make me piss myself.

Best one we ever had, bloke tried to ‘penetrate’ his old English sheep dog, and film it. Wife came home found him in a bad state called is we worked out what had happened and had the evidence as he had recovered it. Basically tried it on, dog was not happy and not having it, and he kept staggering past the camera pretty flacid in the end as his dog attacked him. Lots of screaming it was pretty funny, he was Seriously harmed, nicked for bestiality and ended up as an RSO (registered sex offender). Best part was giving disclosure to his brief showed him the film.

What do you like dislike in bikes/accessories? 1970’s Suzuki two strokes (bar x5/7) awful bikes a waste of metal and I especially dislike the gt750 everything a two stroke shouldn’t be. Heavy slow poor handling and ugly.
I had the favour to ride a T500J a few times. I loved the big twin engine, poor brake.
And I passed my driving license test on a X7, a nimble bike.
But Yamaha was the way to go +40 years ago.

ok, i spent most of my 20s and 30s racing various 2 strokes. the worst was an lc350. they dont steer! brakes are ok ish, back then, with the standard suspension, they were shit. then i got a kr1 and it would just fly around corners! the difference was crazy.

Don't like 916/996 had one biggest overrated bike ever made I agree that to ride it was just so damn uncomfy. I felt it as was like being folded up and wedged onto a plank and then battered around at 100mph+... but when you were 'on it', then it was ok as you could forget the pain... for a bit at least. They did look amazing tho... still do to me.

Dont like modern superbikes. paint them all black and they all kinda look the same these days...
the only buttons i want on a bike is a horn and starter button, after 43 years of riding if i cant ride without all the electronic aids its time to give up bikes.
not so much bikes but biker wear!!! turn up at the local meet and everybody seems to have lovely shiney knee sliders, wtf is the point of having them lol

The chain gator, as standard, would have been a benefit to many bikes. I personally like these bikes, too. Not much to look at, but 10/10 for functionality. 👍

I do understand them. Kinda like the 2CV of the bike world. Breaks down all the time yet you can fix them with the most basic of toolkits and on the roadside. But would I buy one? With cash money?
No.

I will go with Veg and Arrow on those I have never owned or ridden an MZ but there is something appealing about their simplicity. They are not trying to be anything other than what they are. MZ have a superb racing pedigree too (read about Ernst Degner and Walter Kaaden) and you can make them buzz along with not too much effort. Lots of magnesium components as standard too. They just don't look very sporty Maybe one day that itch will be scratched (no not that kind of itch )

That’s the thing if you look at their competition history (not just road racing but off road as well) in the 50’s and 60’s and modern tuning/exhaust design yep thanks Mz, the reason the Japanese manufacturers caught up was degners defection to the west, which then led to the Japanese two stroke so you’ve Mz to thank for the Lc. Love the simplicity and design just as I love the Honda cub/C50-70-90

I'm not convinced that sticking different forks, wheel and suspension onto an LC always makes it handle better. For clarity my definition of handling better would be faster around a track. It just seems to be widely accepted by the majority and accepted as fact that it does. Just looking at some with the high back end and an extra 5" on the wheelbase I have my doubts.
I had the use of a 500LC for a weekend. It was around 1988 when I was riding my LC with a YPVS engine in it regularly. The 500 had about 10/15mph over the LC and about 50kg it seemed but had odd handling and seemed to handle better with my Mrs on the back. A bit of an Emperors New Clothes scenario with the RD500. Owners think you are jealous if you even hint they are not the bees knees. Still wish I'd bought one when they were £1,200 but only for the price they are now. I'm glad I rode one or I might be full of regrets I never got one.
I've ridden with a mate with a standard RG500 and that could barely pull away from my production spec 31K in a straight line. Come any braking and corners and it was nowhere. As a basis of something to throw thousands of pounds at though they're a good start. The first 5K would be to stop them self destructing.

This above is spot on. Built a Lc/pv/rgv hybrid in mid noughties . Yes it was different, yes it ‘updated’ the suspension etc. however it looked wrong with the rgv swinger, the tyres were too fat, it lost the flickability of the original. Hence I sold it pretty quickly in 2007? Ish (Christ nearly 20 yrs ago). Rgv swingers spoil the looks spoil the handling.
