Fitted the carb drain hose, the airbox clamps (don't laugh, bought them from Yambits as couldn't find any elsewhere) and replaced one of the carb top rubbers as it had split Then started making the rear disc spacer Steve

Helps if you make the correct spacer 6mm wider ðĪŠ Was supposed to be the one between the caliper bracket and the wheel, not the one between the arm and bracket. Anyway, new spacer made and wheel finally in

Next was to fit the clocks. I had previously refurbished these. Original cases, just fitted a mph face and changed he odo gears to miles. Mounting bracket holes are 124mm centre to centre, XJR yoke clock mounts are 120mm so ovalled each hole 2mm inward with a small round file and they are on

Next was a trial fit of the handlebars. Guy I'm building it for wanted Renthals with the cross bar for the old school look but they are wiiiiiide Going to cut a bit off each end to reduce a little but still think I'll have to use an lc2 throttle cable

Next was to fit the side stand. Replaced bolt and a new spring Had a look at footplate spacing after that. Doesn't need as much as I originally thought. 10 or 12mm should do it That's enough for tonight Steve

Few little jobs done as I've had 10 minutes here and there Stripped the rear footpegs down and had a heavy conversation with them via a hammer and a vice and they are now ready to go for powder coating. I have new peg bars and rubbers for when they are ready I have countersunk the rear of the holes to mount them in the hanger to help with clearance on the swing arm Made some spacers on the lathe to space the hangers out and bought some nice Ti flanged bolts to mount them on the frame. Need to sort the front pegs and fit next Got a gear change peg kit and rear brake clip/washer/spring on the way from Norbo too Other side more complex as I need to get the rear naster bracket powder coated and modify the pedal to suit Steve

Been doing some work on the RH hanger and brake set up Pedal needs modded to work the disc rear Took some measurements the milled off the weld around the pedal pivot so the new actuator would sit flush Then drilled and tapped an m6 hole in the centre so I could "adjust" before finally welding it Then made a tab for the pedal return spring to relocate onto. It needs to move inward to avoid the push rod for the master cylinder Steve

Paint will be on a budget for this one. Tank already in primer and got new plastics from Rob Took advantage of the warmer weather so wiped down the panels with acetone to remove any residues, keyed with scotchbrite and blew down with compressed air 2 coats of adhesion promoter then 3 coats of primer Steve
