There is the rear chain guard that goes towards the sprocket There is also a U shaped piece that bolts under onto the 2 tabs on the brace to protect the brace from chain whip There is also a 3rd bit that goes onto the front of the arm between the front tab on the brace and the bolt hole behind the chain run I didn't fit the 3rd bit They pop up on EBay Steve that looks lovely Steve, I need to sorce them ,I have got the u shape chain procter not the other bits ,I will keep an eye out ππ

Looking fantastic so far Chris I reckon you could have a nice little sideline if you knocked a few of those brackets up. Nk is usually booked solid for ages, busy doing mods just like this. "Sidney81 Racing" would be a winner Really great skills mate Dusty

You should give it some serious though mate. Most of us have to get certain parts fabricated or modified elsewhere, and there are very few trusted places to go, and they tend to be rammed with work. I'm lucky to have 2 local engineering places near to me, both run by bikers, who do all my stuff, but one of them looks like it may fold at any time due to the age and fitness of the owners, and the other is more milling/turning so a bit limited. The popularity of specials/hybrids/bitzas is as strong as ever, and there is always a call for great fabricators. There were kits for sale where you could bolt Pv engines into a Mito, kits for fitting Pv's into Rg250's etc. A pre fabbed shock mount that could just be welded onto a swingarm like yours would be an easy mod for someone without the necessary tools to fab up the mount. Food for thought Dusty

That's great work Chris Nice to have the adjustability again, for the shock. Funny, having looked at Alex's Mito swingarm the other day, I said about getting a plate made up and welded over the hole, same as you have done. The clevis is a great idea too Dusty

Weld porn. Superb work mate.
As Dusty says, what you've done is what we'll (well, he'll) be doing. A plate then an extended arm. Possibly with extra holes drilled for ride height adjustment.

Hi everyone I had a mock up today got it outside for a look , looks ok I think! I've got the 17 inch rear wheel on the way be cool to get that in with a 140 on it the foot peg Hanger's are close to the arm so might have to space them out to give more clearance ,what's people's thoughts to the ride height ? I don't think it's far off at the moment ?! π
