Evening, more done today on the LC ! I rinsed the new tank out with fresh petrol then fitted the tap ,new o ring and fiber washers , tank on fuel in !! .sprocket torqued up tabs be t over , chain on . Ran it up again to temp (runs great) revs nice n clean but found I've got a head gasket weep 🙄, let it cool the re torqued the head, still weeping bugger , it's a cheep gasket Ron gave me to use with the 370 cc because it had a bigger Id so I went with it !! Think my next move is to get a genuine gasket and open it out to match the bore size 👍

It's looking mighty fine Chris, wonder what horsepower it'll kick out when Dave gets his hands on it? Andy.

Evening everyone, Not much going on still getting the little snaggy bits done ,I've brought a digital temp guage to keep a more precise eye on the temp ,I had a spear thermostat housing kicking about so I drilled and tapped it to take the sender , there's loads of meat thicker than I thought,it tapped nicely.looks nice and neat to just give it a coat of paint then it can be fitted 👍

Just spent many hours reading through this build thread, amazing work, super fabrication skills and when done, this bike will be absolutely amazing .
Don't often spend time in the build section, but read the last couple of posts first, which hooked me in, and I then had to start from the beginning.
Keep the updates and especially the pictures coming. From someone who just bolts things on, and doesn't actually make anything , I'm amazed and grateful that we have members ,like yourself and many others, willing to take the time to document and share their builds. Gives inspiration and confidence to others who struggle with theirs.

Beautiful work and bike is that one of norbos seat cover's. I have an original Giuliari seat which is getting a bit jaded and looking to find a cover as close to the original as possible.

Your LC build is looking lovely mate - credit to you, but we do need a run video as I want to hear those pipes.
I like the thermostat idea & like you am surprised the material thickness there - metal was cheaper in the 80's. Is it not a tapered thread on the plug?
I'm still way behind you, but will get the side cases on today hopefully. My KOSO clocks have x2 temp senders & I'm not planning on running a thermostat.

Looking fantastic Chris Really lovely build, as always If you use Flikr for your pics, you upload vids in exactly the same way as photos. Take longer to upload, and I find I have to close Flikr and then open it again to see the vid ready to share, but it works fine Dusty
