Hi You can Pm him through the forum. It's Easter weekend so he may be busy with family stuff, so may be a delay. Dusty

Yes you can't 'order' from the website, do as dusty said, with a list of what you want to buy, he'll then work out postage cost. Paypal the total (inc fees) and that should be it

looking to order parts from Norbo I live in the states can not get Norbo website to work can some help me with making a order Its not like any other website shop, there is no basket, you email him rdlccrazy2005@yahoo.com telling him what bits you want, he then messages you back telling you postage costs, you then pay and he sends parts, all quick enough, there is a paypal address too on shop page. www.rdlccrazy.co.uk/html/for%20sale%20page%202.%202%20350lc%20.htmLink above to 250/350LC shop, if that's what you want parts for.

You need to arrange your own shipping. At least if you’re overseas. Then send him the labels and pickup time.
There are links on the site for the services...

It's not really that hard, Ken
I did it a while ago for some stanchions and other bits, I too was a little hesitant, however I actually rang Norbo to see what to do and everything was confirmed by email with him too
PM Norbo with what you are chasing, Norbo will then put them in wrapping and weigh it and give you dimensions
Use either of the links on the home page of the shop to get a good quote for the dimensions Norbo gave you
Once you have decided on the courier, put in your details and pay, you will get the labels emailed to you and a commercial invoice and a pick up day and time
Email those to Norbo, he does the rest
Oh and BTW I’m in Australia too

I recently did an order with Norbo from the states, I did my own shipping , it was all new to me arranging my own shipping. But Norbo helped me out with links to shipping and once I got that figured out , it was pretty easy. Now that I’ve done it once, it’s not gonna be a problem to order from him. PM me if you need help.

Norbo is fine to deal with, but it has to be said that from a business perspective that the lack of cart and the 'do your own shipping thing' for overseas buyers are a set of big barriers to sale, there would defo be more overseas sales if it was streamlined.

Norbo is fine to deal with, but it has to be said that from a business perspective that the lack of cart and the 'do your own shipping thing' for overseas buyers are a set of big barriers to sale, there would defo be more overseas sales if it was streamlined. The fact you can't just put what you want in a basket and see the total with post is a massive drawback, even buying in GB it seams a bit back room, you message what you want and get a message back, I don't like waiting, simple as that, I would and I am sure more would buy more from the site if it was instant, the shop could be far more profitable with a basket me thinks. Fowlers gets most of the orders simply because its easy, it shows you if what you want is available (another great drawback with Norbos site, you don't know if he has what you want or not straight away) lots of us are not that clever when it comes to computers, Norbos site is too complicated to buy parts from, you also don't know if parts have been posted until they turn up on your doorstep, but if you don't know they have been posted you may be out and have to wait another day then for post to be re-delivered, its all just too convoluted and could be so much better. Hope your reading this and taking notes Norbo, simplicity is the key, you need to speculate to accumulate.

Perhaps we should all remember that Norbo does this out of one or two bedrooms in a house
He perhaps doesn’t have the resources to have everything to put into a basket with stock checking freight etc
I agree it would be easier, however the likes of Fowlers, Partzilla etc have a lot more resources than Norbo
Hell, I can’t even log into my local Yamaha dealer to order parts, it’s bring a list of part numbers, await a price and availability, then order across the phone and hope to goodness the right part number was ordered, which on my last order from my dealer wasn’t
As Jon says, Norbo is fine to deal with, he has parts no one else has, perhaps we need to thank him for that, clunky yes, handy, even more so

Understand what you’re saying but for me and yes I’m UK based, Norbo generally cheaper than elsewhere, has greater stock of unobtainable stuff, posts far quicker than Fowler’s etc packs the items better, gets stuff made that Yamaha won’t touch, can offer alternatives has a far greater knowledge than any spares department, does this out of enthusiasm and is a decent bloke and I’m giving my money to someone who cares about the future of these bikes an enthusiast not a corporate entity. And he runs the best forum bar none. This isn’t me blowing smoke up his arse, I’ve been using him for more than 10 years for a reason.

took me a good part of a day to paste all all in a email What the feck you ordering? Go onto his website copy what you want with prices, total it all up, pm him with the list, give him your return address, get quote for postage add that to the list, pay him adding fees if by PayPal including the list or a reference and your address ( so many people pay him without this and he has no idea who you are) generally he will get back to you quickly or his mum will. Within 2-3 days your parcel of Lc porn will arrive.

Yes, ordering of Norbo is old school... and phoning him means that you have actually got to speak to someone. Bonus is, he's a good bloke and will help you out with what you need.

Now just imagine if there was a basket in the parts page also to add your parts to, wouldn't it be just the best then. good criticism is worth a fortune, companies pay good money to get feedback like this, would be better for Norbo and better for us, I forget what I want and prices while looking at shop page too, and yes the forgetting to give address chestnut.

Milo are you in the UK? I only ask as maybe if you’re not the email being from another country has gone into his spam folder. When I get foreign customers with overseas email providers sometimes they get sent automatically into spam folder.
