Still 0 degrees here
Supposed to warm up to 12 tomorrow, I'll fire the dehumidifier up in the morning 😁

Anyone of a nervous disposition DON'T go into your shed/garage to have a look LOL
UPDATE THIS MORNING
In desperation I have now opened up front and back of garage to create a wind blast through the garage to try and dry bikes and removed all blankets that were covering them Think it will get worse before it gets better

Been to the garage this morning and both bike and mill are fogged with moisture
Switched on the dehumidifier so will see how it goes

Been back to the garage
2L water tray full and bike, lathe and mill dry now
While I wait for a suitable length of pipe to drain outside I fitted a short length of tube, sat the dehumidifier on top of a box and stuck the tube into a 10L bucket

Mixed report from our metal garage.
Half the bikes are totally dry, those closest to the open garden are partly wet. This is with a storage heater running on Eco 7.
It hit -8C in there last night.

You may get a better result with some air circulation Inline bathroom extractor and some duct tube sucking air from above the heater to the damp side I've seen old houses that have had damp issues under the floors having a fan running to circulate air under the floor space Steve

Went into my garage this morning to find the LC with a layer of moisture over it, so out came my recently purchased Meaco junior dehumidifier and left it running on the medium setting, came back at lunch time to find it nice and dry with about 1 litre of water in the tray.
So very happy with the Meaco safe in the knowledge that the garage condensation can now be controlled 😊

Just not going into my garage for a few days until the temperature stabilizes. As soon as you open the door you're letting the damp mild air in all over your freezing cold bikes!
Was in there Saturday night and the water in the bucket from my dehumidifier was solid ice, brrrrr!🥶 After a couple of hours my 2 bar electric heater had got the temperature up to around 15C. Dread to think what thats cost me in electric but.....I ain't freezing me nuts off!😁
So, hopefully as it was still reasonably mild in there when I left I shouldn't get hit with a big dose of condensation, as long as I keep the door closed. Fingers crossed!🤞

Went in this morning, luckily all good, bikes and car were dry, even the dust sheets on the car felt ok.
Dehumidifier runs for a few hours on and off each day, so been doing it's thing, and have a tube heater under the bike with a cover over it, so that shouldn't have been too cold.

My garage is currently demolished so I sneaked some into the house. That solved the condensation issue. My partner's Mother is also downsizing which means I'll have to move a few more bikes in soon..

I've just been in to my wooden work shed and was horrified by the amount of water in there. I had to get a mop out to get the worst of it off the floor and a shed load of paper towels to dry the bike off.
Followed by a liberal spray of ACF50.
