As everyone said above , spend the money on securing what you have already. Steel clad doors, sheilded locks etc and a big f**k off dog that makes loads of noise if anyone is about.Im sad to see these bikes havent been found yet as I thought they may have panicked when they realised what a sand storm they kicked up!

Hi , its a bit /lot of a bugger when this happens . some months ago I had an unwelcome visit to my council lock up . locks cut off the door and the door sprung to get it open . thought the worst when the chap next door said they have been in your garage but it looks like they have not taken any thing. bikes locked together with cable locks . so I bought some shutter locks for the door plus some chain and locks .then I got some flat steel 8mmx80mm and made some ground anchors .I bought a length of 14mm Pewag chain to lock 2 bikes to the ground anchor this stuff defeats bolt cutters its harder than the jaws. yes I know a battery powered disc cutter will do the job but the scum/human garbage don't like making noise or putting on a light show. Am I paranoid now , OH yes. you can only do so much . If they want the door open they will use a vehicle to rip it open. When they are in the human garbage will have to work up a sweat to get any of it . Oh , there are hydraulic cutters about that cut chains and locks ,so it never ends.

I agree with post above. A couple of angry f**k off huge dogs should do the trick. Much cheaper.

I have a better alarm on the garage than I have on the house, Microwave detector and PIR looking directly at door and bikes, covert CCTV camera likewise and a 12G blank shot gun cartridge in a sprung loaded holder, I used to have a paint-ball style grenade but found they were unreliable in paint splat. - All perfectly legal when protecting your own property.
I know its not helping any, but the lengths we have to go to protect our bikes is staggering.

I've been thinking about getting a shotgun mine for some time now. I like the idea of mounting it at head height so the scumbags get the maximum "benefit" when they trip it Will probably crap the life out of the neighbours enough to see multiple "shots fired" calls to the Police which should hopefully get a decent attendance too Dusty

I was working on a smaller mine with 8mm Blanks and solenoid operated, but gave up, it was easier to buy a 12G shot gun mine, 12G Blanks can be brought without a licence, same for any blank ammo. Paint grenades looked to be promising, but did not always give the right results, the paintball lads also have flash bangs and smoke flares, but again triggering was an issue, 12G mine was tried and tested.

I am back here on the forum after a long break! very sorry to hear this. I can't even understand how could someone have the heart and courage to steal something that doesn't belong to them! Not sure how to describe such folks! Clearly, very poor upbringing! A couple of years ago my wallet fell off my pocket here in one of them malls, and I was carrying cash, perhaps around $400. A bunch of teenage girls found it and they ran towards me and asked me to identify my wallet. The cash was intact. Now a days a very few honest people around. These were youngsters, they could have kept it and had a jolly! Kudos to their folks, they thought them right.
Sending you good karma and I hope your bikes will soon be traced.
Regards,
Daryl

Regards, Daryl A similar thing happened to me 10 yrs so years ago. My wallet fell out of my pocket getting out of the car at a car breakers yard. All sorts go there as you can imagine. Had a browse around then came home by which time realised. A very decent bloke had picked it up but not handed it in as he rightly thought the blokes working there might be dubious. He got my phone number and rang, wouldn't even take a small reward but I shoved him £20. Its refreshing that there are decent people out there still, pity not everyone though. On a more serious note, hope you are onto something Steve.

One of the worst things to happen is to put effort and hard earned cash into a special motorcycle and then some low life sewer dweller steals it or damages it trying to steal it. I hope you get that bike back soon.

Happy to bung a few quid towards a reward, this is what these little scrotes don’t realise is the consequences of their actions not that they give a flying f**k. Was this reported as a theft or as a burglary dwelling or as a commercial burglary? As norbo runs his business from home? Also can’t remember do you come under notts police or Derbyshire?
I just rang 999 an reported a beak in to my shed to Nottingham police /
i hear about the shot gun trips i did try and get some from a place in the U.S but they say they cant post to the uk. as far as anything elce i have 5 big f**k of locks on the shed now and 1 more on th egate leading up the drive and a few censers in and out side doted about not saying were , and an alarm in side even though i no longer have a bike at my house any more.

My first job when I left school was making 12g alarm mines at a place called Helston Gunsmiths even though that was 35 years ago I think they still sell them they have a website ,next time I go in there I'll ask them.
