Hi Steve If they haven't moved them on already, they are either brazen enough to sit on them until things quieten down - which could be some time with the amount of coverage on social media, or they'll panic and want rid of them. Depends how "professional" they are as bike thieves I suppose. Doesn't sound like an opportunist robbery - bikes aren't the easiest things to manhandle after all. They would need a transit sized van and you would think a minimum of 2 guys to move them quickly and quietly Someone in the bike world knows something I'm sure. Dusty

I keep coming back to this thread hoping to read that they have been located an back with there original owners , it,s F....n demoralising when u lose a possession ( happened to me when someone lifted me Gamaha ) Stolen to order springs to my mind too !!! Its another reminder for us all to up our game when it comes to security an our possesions ,thankfully no one has been physically harmed ,thieves have no morals an if been stolen to order I don,t think would give two hoots about assaulting the owner or worse , after all as others have said the Law ends up on there side ... Lets all keep vigilante an nail these B......S..

I'm shocked. Fu*kin low-life scumbags. I know I'm not a big forum player, but i know this Norbs... you are a genuine guy- with a real passion for helping other forum members to keep the LC Spirit alive. I hope your LCs are returned, and these soulless scum are caught prior to the law.

Someone in the bike world knows something I'm sure. I think this too, and although it might stick in the throat to do it, an offer of a reward on their return might well give them the nudge they need to have then returned, after all the hassle they now have due to all the publicity would mean any money they might have seen from moving them on, in bits or complete might not be happening for some time, a quick hit however small it may be compared to the money they might have generated might be the easier option for them.

So gutted for you guys..there is no feeling to describe what has happened to yous as I've experienced it as Well before..its horrible
Its no consolation but if you move or decide to stay get some cameras in..and a monitored intruder alarm..some ground anchors and chains..these will slow them down but if they really want them they will do whatever it takes. its the world we live in unfortunately..ppl just take what they want.
Hope yous hear some good news soon

I would bring back old fashioned punishment (medieval era) for all the scum. If I was in power crime levels would drop fast.

There must be someone on this forum who deals with CCTV installs that could help/sort a good system for Norbo after all the guys does so much for us all including running the forum and sell parts both new and second hand with real world prices. I would even be prepared to throw some money into a bucket for it to happen, someone help one of our own and save Norbo a load of S(*&t moving.

Decent 8 channel CCTV can be installed in a day. It's not much money either.
It's Kempton Park Jumble tomorrow.. I'm going and will be keeping an eye out just in case...

As I still do work for one of the "Brotherhoods " I had a chat an gave photocopies of these bikes there gonna spread the word too all other affiliated clubs , nothing pisses them off more than bike theft even from rivals.. Fingers crossed they come across the culprits first..

I'll be there for the normal start, not the 'early bird' ticket..! I've had such a busy few weeks that an early saturday doesn't look very appealing..!! I reckon with it being so cold that it won't be too busy.. I have a load of stuff to sell but can't be arsed to book a stand... )

I may go too, but probably will be early bird as I've got a busy weekend. I will keep an eye out for parts too. Mr Kipling - do you know any of the guys from the "Nordics" ? A mate of mine was the "Sergeant at arms". Fantastic turnout at his funeral after he died suddenly a couple of years back. Dusty

I have never met either Norbo or Steve, and not purchased any parts from them. However they sent messages of welcome when I recently joined the forum, and feel for them both. In support of Colin's message, whilst I am not a computer expert someone could surely sent up a just giving page so anyone who wishes could put a few quid in to help. The best outcome would be to get the bikes back in one piece but support from people on here may help.

Norbo, add up the cost of moving, legal fees, stamp duty etc etc. You can spend all that on a great garage & be quids in. I've been looking to move for over a year now, want somewhere with loads of garaging / workshop and a huge garden for SWMBO, it's a bloody nightmare.

Hi Been to Kempton autojumble this morning, and nothing surfaced that was even remotely Lc or hybrid pv. As has been mentioned, the attention the bikes have been given on social media and numerous forums means the parts/bikes aren't gonna surface anytime soon. You've gotta keep the pressure on - keep highlighting their theft as often as possible, and the reward for the safe return. Create such a problem for whoever is hiding them that a reward is the only way they will ever get something for them. It only takes 1 call to give you a lead. As for moving house - I get how you must feel, but don't go rushing into that. A house move is gonna cost you a lot of money, and there is no guarantee that where you go is any safer than where you are now. Rural locations can be burgled just as easily as busy towns. Professionals often "move" into an area, scope out roads and streets by parking up for an hour or 2 to see who comes and goes. A knock on the door often goes unanswered, so that house becomes a potential target, and if someone is in the thief pretends he has the wrong house and walks away - nobody gives it a second thought. I'm sure we've all got stories, either as victims or know people that have been. My mother in law - a widow, was burgled one Christmas whilst she was staying with us. Tipped the house upside down and stole her jewellry. Police said she was lucky ! The theft had the hallmark of a local "crew" that were doing all the thefts in the area. They normally left a calling card - they took a crap in the middle of the bed - but thankfully didn't in her case. Or the house at the top of my road where a luton van backs onto the drive at 10am. 3 guys proceed to empty nearly all the contents of the ground floor into it and drive away. Neighbours were miffed to think the house owner hadn't told them they were moving and didn't know any different until the owner came back from work that night to find the downstairs completely empty. Couldn't even offer the attending Police officer a cup of tea as they stole the kettle, cups and the fridge with everything in it !! All you can do is make your property as unattractive to thieves as possible. Bells, lights, cameras, big gates, big locks, awkward access and egress. They don't want to be there long - in and out is best for them so make it as difficult as possible. You'll spend a lot less doing that than moving house, and even then, the new house will need protecting too. We all have to accept that anyone of us can be followed home after a ride, so it could be absolutely anyone who knows where your bikes live, but if they survey the house and think it will be far from easy to nick anything, they hopefully wont bother. Good luck guys Dusty

hello norbo , as steve says where ever you go there will always be lowlife wanting to take what ever they can , if you move who's to say you don't move next door to a lowlife who will rob you as soon as say hello , I would think that where you are you are surrounded by genuine honest people who now know this has happened and are more vigilant to strangers or suspicious vehicles , you should stay where you are and put up the maximum security possible to deter this happening again , good luck in what ever you decide ... well i went to look at a house yesterday and went to view a 3 more from the out side to see if i t was worth looking inside it wasn't . spent 4 hours looking places allover notts and Derbyshire bloody hell its hard to fined something simuler to what i have with the space i need and as you say could be some scrote just next door ot down the road . If you've been happy living there and haven't thought of moving before this incident than don't, like others have said, spend the money on building a new garage or beefing up security on the current one. I'm not knocking these CCTV systems but some criminals just cover their faces etc so I wouldn't rely on that alone, solid doors/locks/chains and alarms are my preference. At the end of the day, if they really want it, there's not much you can do about it,...that's what's insurance is for I guess.
