Hi all
Continuing with building my box of bits into a bike here's another question Does the RD250LC have a thermostat? Parts catalogue suggests not?
cheers

I think you can fit one but it involves a spacer

Hi Steve,
There is a thread on here which discusses this topic. I think it was started by 'robin'. I believe there was a thermostat on the Japanese model but not here. You can do a retro fit if you want.

Ive turned a small recess in one of my LCs thermo housings to use the snowmobile stat sans gasket. simple to do (takes seconds) and said to be effective.

I will then try to see what affect it has. Rich

it used to be a ford escort thermostat that was retro fitted bitd there was a service bulletin issued , usually done at first service along with the other mods (carbs, pipes, brakes ) saved you taping up the radiator in winter lol
