... and it passed!
There's a little play in the fork legs so I guess I'll need to replace the bushes at some time in the not so distant future, but other than that the old girl was A-OK!

My 4lo passed last week ; easiest mot I have ever seen ; the tester was more interested in reminiscing about his younger days riding and repairing them .
plus I think he could see how much money I have put in to this one

I keep hoping someone will make a bunch of these and sell them, Steven seemed 'un keen' a while back. I guess if they dont I'll have to make the tools up and start doing them as I need 4 sets :/

Ohh, cool. The main thing was to produce a tool like the one Steven did, to hold the bearing yet not trash it, while cutting it down on a lathe. I assume after a light chamfer to match the un cut side, tis done. Of course once youve set the tool in the lathe and the cutter to exactly 15mm, you just keep swapping out 20mm DU bushes until the cows come home

Yup, I guess so...
Something else after the test though, as soon as I wheeled it out of the test bay, some old geezer came up to me and asked: "Are you selling it??"
That's something I'll have to get used to I guess..

Passed with flying colours 😊. Fitted new Nitron shock too. They supplied the wrong spacers but luckily my man Frank lives two minutes from their factory and in fairness to them they made the correct ones up there and then for collection. Bike is now spring for my weight and feels a thousand time more stable 👍🏼

Nice one.
Just need to rebuild my motor and we could go for a spin sometime.
Where do you take your mots as a matter of interest?
Been taking mine to Dave Clarkes the last few years.

The Powervalve I bought today was mot'd. Was free for me as I bought the bike off him. Normally £25 or if you are on his Facebook page it's £20

I've been using them since my FS1E days. Great lads. Dave's as mad as a box of frogs mind but a great little garage. Just don't give them anything complicated LOL
