Hi I saw a thread on a US forum years back, regarding different pipes on Lc's and powervalves. Thought it may be a good idea here, both for people wanting an idea of how a certain type of pipe may look, or even help to identify a pipe they already have. The Allspeed thread on here got me digging out some pics of pipes I've had on my bikes. It would be great if everyone added pics of theirs, there are quite a few different types out there. I'll kick off with a few of mine;
Lc small can Allspeeds/Gibsons;
Gibson large cans (316 stainless) on an Lc
Swarbricks on an Lc;
Stan Stephens/Lomas on an Lc;
Small can Allspeeds (original) on a Ypvs;
Tsa mid range pipes on a Ypvs;
Martin 77 hydroformed pipes on an Lc;
Obviously this thread is about the look/fit of the various pipes. Muttsnuts did a great in depth test of the gains certain pipes can make. If you have pics of Microns, Dg's or any other Lc/pv pipe, it would be good to see them

This is a Dutch pipe made by Pieter Smidt from PS Tuning. I cant comment on their performance. The fit really well and nice and tight at the front for a belly pan.
These are Jim Lomas Pipes. Very easy to set up, look great but i didn't like the performance to peaky. Good fit
Don't Know what they are, could be small can Allspeed with other silencer bodged on. My favourite pipe at the moment, performance good, very difficult to set up and as for looks thats for you to decide. Ok fit.
These are my Fugly Microns. These were easy to set up, ok performance and as for looks? not my cup of tea. These have been modified to fit an 4LO not by me
You read my mind, I was just about to post a thread asking what the heck people were on about regarding exhausts Spaniels, microns, gibsons long and short, allspee dos and the like meant nothing to me Now I can see

That's a tricky choice JL's or Allspeeds any particular reason for changing. Both very nice by the way.
The JL's made the bike flat as a fart even the standard pipes felt better , so once I fitted the Gibsons the bike felt like a racer , could have just been my set up but my mate sent his JL's back and got a full refund .
I think the black chrome small can allspeeds look so good on an LC. My favourite pipes are definitely the black chrome pipes from Martin 77 they are a work of art.
Hi Great pics guys, keep em coming !! It's surprising the amount of different types of pipes out there - even the same manufacturer can make different variations for our bikes, like Allspeed/ Gibsons - large can, small can, detachable can, chrome, black chrome etc, and Micron, with original bean can, later detachable can and Grand Prix. I know there are a few different types popular in the US, and of course Japan seems to produce some stunning looking pipes. There is an Lc owner on the Facebook page with a 2 into 1 system fitted - not sure if he is a member on here ? Higgspeed do a couple of different designs too - anyone got them ? My large can Allspeed /Gibsons were one offs in marine grade T316 stainless, made by Clive at Gibsons for his own bike. I bought them from him and fitted them to my old Hybrid build which I then sold to Racoon (Mark). He wanted bean can Microns like he had back in the day, so he sold the Gibsons when he found some good Microns to fit. Gotta say the bean can Microns do sound awesome - he sped past me one day on them (we live in the same town) and they sounded sooo good !! The Martin 77 pipes were commissioned by the previous owner of my black 385. I believe they were very reasonable cost wise, and of course beautifully made. They were black chromed by Gibsons. And Norbo supplied the cans.
The 3rd pic down the white and blue stripe LC with yellow YPVS wheels do's not have Swarbrick fitted the stinger is to long and the belly is to fat They look like early Lomas pipes I will post a pic later of Swarbricks and Lomas fitted to a LC
Ha, you've just reminded me, there were also some made by Arrow I think they were only YPVS pipes, but they used to tuck in and fit very nicely. Seem to remember Chez on a 'French Blue' bike had them fitted?? or have I gone senile
Hi dusty really great thread you never disappoint me.......l never get fed up looking ar photo's of any lc, would anybody know which model pipes fit which bikes etc For reference....do ypvs pipes fit earlier 4l0 models and which model pipes would you fit to a 4l0 frame with a ypvs motor
