Cards on table, I don't do spirits, I don't do lager, alcopops or any other sort of disco beer, I drink real ale, and before you all start I haven't got a beard or wear an arran jumper, I just like beer, so come on give me a list of your favourite beers. And the reason for this request is I am sat having a bottle of Build Me a Rocket Boys by Robinsons brewery its bloody lovely.

London Pride is one of my favourites. Lived near a biker pub(HAUTEBOUY at Ockham in Surrey) 25 yrs ago and there used to be a blackboard up naming about 10 ales - always on and we used to do the lot and start again sometimes.(Badger, old hooky. old thumper, ESB, 6X, Fortyniner etc. etc. Those were the days.

Polish lagers currently have my attention but I like Ale too!
Used to have a collection of about 100 EMPTY ale bottles, all different....until the missus moved in......had to 'recycle' them all!
Crafty Hen is my current favourite if a little expensive!

I haven't done a lot of drinking for ages now, but used to love trying all the different real ales. There's none that I can remember not liking, though from memory (not the best after a few pints) I liked Everards Tiger and Castle Eden. I Love a pint of Mild too but hardly ever saw it.

A pint of mild - that brings back some memories! You never see it in pubs these days. I used to love all the dark ales that were brewed in the winter especially the King and Barnes (a local brewery) Festive - it was a bit like Theakston's old peculier but not quite as heavy. Other than that - Fuller's London Pride was always a good pint - I've been on a couple of Fuller's brewery tours in the past - always remember going into the place but never remember coming out.

US customs would probably confiscate it for home security reasons!

Talking of London Pride I will never forget travelling on a shoestring in the Northern Territory in Australia and coming across an eccentric old boy selling PRIDE in the middle of the desert from a little cabin.

We have plenty of people drink our hand sanitiser...they are at least 60% alcohol, normally nearer 80%.....doesnt take much to kill you..

Leeds Brewery, Gathering Storm, far better than Guiness. Wye Valley Brewery, Dorothy Goodbody’s Wholesome Stout is also good gear.

Another vote for Tim Taylors Landlord, used to be a Gales HSB fan until Fullers bought the brewery and killed it :-( I live in Sheperd Neame country, nice drop of ale from the oldest independent. Best beer I've had this year was Wadsworth six x, 'would sir like it from the wood?', oh yes go on then if you must One of the only great things in England atm is the regional ales, especially from some of the small micro establishments
