Do look very nice. But just one thing, appear to be a lack of rear mountings Gonna put a lot of stress on the exhaust studs. ;D

just looking at the pipes and wondered why the downpipes are welded in small sections? a mandrel bender would take the need for welding such small pieces together and cut down the cost as well look really nice tho

just looking at the pipes and wondered why the downpipes are welded in small sections? a mandrel bender would take the need for welding such small pieces together and cut down the cost as well look really nice tho These pipes are made like this as it is easier and more accurate, and a mandrel bender is very expensive. The downpipes are tapered and this way is much more accurate than hydro forming unless you hydro form inside a set of dies to prevent over expansion of the section. If the header is a straight section then yes I would bend it but the pipes perform much better with a tapered header. Do look very nice. But just one thing, appear to be a lack of rear mountings Gonna put a lot of stress on the exhaust studs. ;D The rear mount was supplied with the pipes but was not welded on so Steve could mount them as he see's fit.

I'm really looking forward to trying them out as they should work really well.
The weight of these is quite something too, much lighter than I expected.
If you're in the market for some new pipes at some point, you really should consider a set of Kenny's pipes, the mild steel versions are a good bit cheaper.

Know the feeling, got a steel set on my N2 hybrid that haven't seen the road yet. Sound absolutely awesome, better than the small cans on the other bike and stupidly light. Will post up results when ready, one bike ported with small cans and one with standard motor and kenny's pipes, both on similar gearing. Can't wait. Steve.
