Has anyone out there on the forum ever been to this place. I was told it was a great place to pick up bits but its quite a drive away. Going to take a trip down soon, just don't know what to expect and don't want to be dissapointed either way.... Too much on offer or worse case, nothing at all! Any advice appreciated as I've never been to anything like this before.

I go regularly. It used to be a proper autojumble years ago with loads of stalls and tons of bits, and you would very likely find that part.In recent years I've have seen a decline in the man with boxes of old bike bits, and it seems to be more new stuff.Good finds are rare.Ebay phenomenon probably. They are still there mind but don't expect anything like Newark. How far are you travelling?

Travelling from Northumberland. A round trip of over 200 miles once I've picked up a mate on the way. I was wondering if ebay had put the dampers on these type of events. Do you think its worth the drive? Probably cost about £40 in petrol and take all day to get there and back. Or would it be better to spend the petrol money on internet parts?

If I'm being brutally honest It's not worth the journey if you need parts for your RD.I very rarely find the parts I need and only come away with new stuff. It's great for tools, stainless fasteners, batterys, brake pads and things like that.but all that stuff is a click away.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I was told about the Scorton autojumble and was considering that one too. It looked a bit smaller than Rufforth but it sounds like it might be a slightly better bet.
