Hi Folks Just bought a pair of YPVS reed blocks for a 4LO, Would it be a good idea to use 6mm spacers between the barrels and the reed blocks cheers dave

The ypvs ones are even longer then standard lc blocks so its a must with ypvs blocks in an lc .

Yes it's a good idea as the reeds are narrower at the tip then at the bottom, (Hard to explain but maybe you noticed it? Not talking about the obvious "v-shape" but the actual width.) so if you use a spacer, you won't have to widen the inlets quite as much. And believe me, every 10th of a millimeter counts here as YPVS reeds is an extremely tight fit, you don't have any room for a bigger hole cos then you may grind right through the inlet walls.
