Bit of a silly one i'm sure but what fuel do you use in an RD 250 LC? Does it need to be 4star or will unleaded do? Are you better off with a high proformance unleaded?

you cant buy 4 star anymore can you? I think you still get lead replacement petrol!! But if the RD was designed to run on 4* then are the high octane petrols better? I just want to see mine run, I need the boost to get me back in the cold garage!!

Ive been running mine on unleaded for the 3 months ive had her and everything seems okay so far, i know it burns a lot higher temp but shouldnt do much damage in a 2 stroke even if there not designed for it, only thing i think in a four stroke that goes wrong is the valves start to burn out

I ran my 75 400 triple on unleaded.I could do 250 miles in a day on it with no probs. So 250 LC will be fine on it.

unleaded is fine in any 2 stroke no mater when it was made.
