what is the general consensus on Microns v's Allspeeds??
I have both (lucky me) - the microns are in very good condition, the allspeeds will need a bit of work.
is there much between them - I was led to believe the Microns will put the power higher up the range, the Allspeeds being better at low-mid rpm.

I prefer the sound of Microns but reckon Allspeeds are safer, Microns are good for putting holes in your pistons though.

I can see this being a very visated post with lots of replys by the end of the week .
Speeds look better but give no extra power and bike dont rev with them on . Crons do give extra powe a bike will be faster with them on but are a bitch to jet . Well ther were back in the day but nowa days with all of you lot helping people there realy is no exquse for fusking up jetting . Just ask for help .
So its looks or power realy .

it's been MY experience that Microns (at least) Do Not require rejetting from yama stock to run perfectly Need to rejet is an old wives' tale. Unless you somehow dick with the quantity of air going INTO an engine (Filters / Airbox /Porting.. there should not be any need to re-jet... Cuz the fuel/air mixture has not been changed !

They all are :-) Quite short silencer cans (bean can) types were the earliest (?) ones, earliest of those (condor made?) had a wee flared exit from the bean can end, slightly later ones simply had no tube beyond the end of the can end plate. Noise is an issue with either.
