I've just stripped both engine cases.was told that pj1 satin was the colour to use.having sprayed the clutch cover it looks really dull.would a lacquer coat on top improve the finish? Should I use a different paint maybe gloss pj1?

The satin stuff is quite matt unless you bake it to cure it, usually gave it an hour or 2 to go touch dry then pop it in the oven and slowly increase the temp every 10 mins. Would not go too hot if it's a plastic ypvs one. Steve.

hi guys used the pj1 gloss in the end havent got the best of finishes everything was nice and warm but the finish seems a bit blotchy i didnt use a primer.could that be the problem also the imperfections in the casings are showing thru maybe another can of paint will do the trick
