Coz its the original Hooligan machine , and it reminds us of our fun and younger days , theyre fun and comfy , reliable if ridden sensibly-ish , a blast from the past . I'm looking for a Suzuki X7 after my LC Hybrid is finished.....but these are extremely rare now , the small 2-strokes provide the most fun....I've had allsorts of machines from all the Jap makers , but I still honestly believe that the LC is by far the best of the lot , and you can still get everything for them. that could of been my answer but i will add this easy to work on and i still turn into a hooligan when im on it

My first bike was a FS1E which I got when I was 15. Stripped it down, cleaned it up and tinkered with the engine a bit. 16th birthday came along and I has the fastest bike of all my mates . The plan was to get an RD250LC as soon as I was 17, but after 3 weeks on the roads (legally) going down the main street of the town doing 25mph a car came out of a side road 18 months before I could walk again . The 23 years later a mate at work said he had a RD250LC in boxes in his shed did I want it? All the memories can flooding back so now the bike is nearly back together, but I now need to do all that test stuff before I can ride it, but then a 24 year out dream fulfilled ;D ;D ;D

I've always been told and it kinda makes sense, if your gonna hit a car in the last few moments before, accelerate into it!! The reason's being the front will raise up so the bike should just plant itself into the car and send the rider flying, if you brake the front will dip and on impact makes the bike more prone in flipping over the car behind the rider!
I see accelerating into something your about to hit is one of the last thinks going though your mind though lol

Here's my two peneth I had Lc's and an X7 in the 80's but the best one by far was an FS1E with a YB100 engine shoe horned in. at 16 with crap brakes and no fear it was the best thing ever. I even got done for speeding on the way to Skegness and PC Plod didnt realise a 50cc moped shouldnt of been doing 87Mph. Still got the fine though )

I think most of us have similar tales...... Mine is at one time me and my friend (RIP) were the top two riders on a police list to be put off the road in Ashford.........that was from a police sargent in an informal "chat" when he saw me on my own........he said if we didn't cut it out we would probably wind up killing ourselves........well he was right about Mick.....

Here's my bit My first bike at 16 was a fizzy (FSIE) my first job was working for Terry Beckett Tuning, riding bikes to work then working on bikes all day then going to race meeting at the weekend, life was a dream. My fiz was tuned and did 50 to 55 mph not bad for a 1975 fiz. However my dream was short lived Maggie |recession and redundancy, however best three years of my working life. I also had a 80lc then onto a 350lc which i wrapped round a car, however i rebuilt it as a Kenny Roberts Rep it was mint my baby. of all the car and bikes i have owned my 350lc is the only one i remember the Reg SRC 18X, any one out there own it i would like to here from them. along came wife kids bikes went. I now have a new baby, a 350 YPVS N1 i bought this last year on ebay for £325 no knowing what i was getting because the ad was poor to my suprise i got a bike with a rebuilt tuned engine micron exhaust with only 16500 on the clock, tatty but all there, i have now stripped it down powdered coated the frame wheels ect and now in the process of rebuilding in with new bolts and parts where required, i hope to get it to show room condition for summer also because the N1 is a rare bike worth restoring. when it is compete i will post some photos
