Ok, so I want to fit FZR400 wheels and forks to my 4L0.
the front end doesnt worry me (fitted a ZX636 usd Radial front-end to my ZRX1200)
the rear is a different matter....
I dont really want to fit a different swingarm if I can help it and not surprisingly the FZR wheel is a bit wider than the the LC one, its about 10-12mm too wide (I think I could get it to fit if the swingarm was that wide by narrowing spacers)
so..... how dodgy would it be to heat and spread the swingarm carefully till its the width I need?
surely as long as I make sure both sides of the arm are spread the same amount this should be OK???
Ta
Alex.

as butchers says m8.i did'nt do these checks properly on my lc/kr1s conversion and found out the hard way.if the tyre is to wide you will need to take/make some adjustments to the lc frame where the chain passes otherwise if you take to much off the rear wheel sprocket carrier the chain will rub on the tyre or if you use a front off set sprocket the chain will rub on frame. you might beable to get away with taking a touch off sprocket carrier and fitting a slight off set front sprocket.

Ok looks like Im going to have to find a tyre!
anyone got an old 140/60 r18 lying about they dont want?
I can machine the cush-drive downa fair bit by the looks, but that WILL depend on the tyre width
