Hi Nick, its an Epson all in once scanner, just a cheap thing under £100 does everything printer, fax, blah blah. In the scanner settings find the DPI setting and raise it to around 300, most scanners are set for text docs so are factory set to around 100 DPI so you get a grainy image.
