Hi guys, just picked up an F2 which i'm gonna use for racing this coming year. It has the power jet type carbs, and i'm led to believe the 31K type carbs are better! I'm also led to believe if i block the tubes from the bowl to the body this will effectively make them the same as 31K carbs! Any thoughts or ideas, or should i junk them and get 31K carbs? Cheers Russell

Ive been toying with the same problem/idea, spoke to Nigel kimber at NK racing and he informs me that running 1ua carbs with power jets blocked off will cause a problem in the midrange rpm as the carb has slight internal differances to the 31k. But I have blocked tzr power jet carbs and run them on my mk3 125's with no problems? Nigel is god and I would trust his experiance. hope this helps

I've decided to go down a different carb route now, not 100% sure what yet, will talk to bob farnham or just see what turns up, but thanks for your input.
