refitting my clutch on a 125 mk2 , and got to the stage where i am refitting the springs. this may seem a couple of dumb questions, but bear in mind i have never fitted any clutch. i guess the springs are not to be done completely up? how much should they be above the cover plate? and just how do you know what sevens pounds is on a torque wrench when you are doing up small nuts? last one - i am guessing the selector arm pushes the two rods so it lifts the clutch plates away, but how does the selector left and right rods work, if you screw the fitting down too far, it slips down the rod???

do u have a Haynes manual? it shows/tells you how to do it properly. basically its a combination of getting the cable adjusted right on the cable side of the push rods, and screwing down the final clutch retention plate correctly. yes you do tighten up the springs fully right up to the retention plate. (hand tight is all i do 7 pounds of torque is hardly anything at all, and my torque wrench does not go down that far.)

got the manual, but haynes seems to miss things sometimes, especially when they cover two ror three bikes in the one manual. thanks for the help jamie, hope to get the engine back to gether totally by the end of the weekend.
