Maybe an anorak moment the blocks have a wee rectangular tab cast in the body The best pics show them both pointing towards the fuel tap side ! is this correct ? look identical bar the tab.. another question,I have found some fibre reeds one side solid, one side 2 stage...which way up ? just curious as using stock steel petals T

both outward's...they are for removal of the blocks when they stick to the gasket....make's sence if on outside...tab is so a driver/drift can be used to tap them off the barrels. used them today for this very purpose

I bought a 250lc this summer thats been stored since 1982 with 5020 miles and is 100% original, when i removed the carbs for cleaning i noticed the tabs your talking about where both facing to the left (petrol tap side) at the time i thought the same as gary-rd-robbo that it would have made better sense to have them both to outside to help removal.

lc was a cobbled together bike painted shite and with wonky decals from factory...i doubt mr mitsui ever thought these bike's would last this long let alone cause great debate 30 years down the line... ;D ;D ;D gaz I'd say you're probably right and I'd bet he'd have a fit at some of the prices of parts! ;D
