I have exactly the same problem with mine! The complete wiring loom looks like it has been modified by an brake dancing 5 year old.
I feel your pain!

Tout, You are indeed a star
sorry to hijack the thread but any ideas where to get the electrical blocks that attach to the wires and then onto the wiring harness?

The white/red & white/green go to the same colours on the CDI The brown, green & red go to the same colours on the CDI The black goes to earth The three whites go to regulator/rectifier The blue goes to sky blue which is the neutral switch. Looks like you guys need to get the soldering iron out You think you got problems this is my loom last month ;D

I have 2 stators but both have joints and new grommet sleeves fitted....I remember modding one for a hybrid so unsure which is closer to stock lengths, but here goes, exit from stator to end of plugs ; single...480----500mm four.......625---680mm double & triple 640---710mm might need to double check what stator / cdi you have, compared to your engine number, cant remember off hand when lc2 ended and F1 started ? 29L or 51L/52K ( step in experts) (looks like you have the later..."no manual tacho drive") you may need alternative pics dependant on your stator / cdi Have fun....take care with the soldering iron, you might not enjoy the smell of burning skin

Dont forget that there are different combinations of plugs and wires from the stator depending on the years and nowadays that means on what has been fitted. So long as you match the loom / cdi its fine but bear in mind that they change quite a bit for the YPVS models.
