Has anyone got an R1 manual ( Mr Mellow ) I need to confirm the colours of the wires at the sensor end. I have black/white tracer, orange/red tracer & pink I think these are: B/W = earth O/R = speedo input Pink = power Can anyone confirm this as I had it temporary wired with the O/R as + and the pink as speedo input & it worked. Just bought a speedo healer and the plugs suggest my temporary wiring was wrong & I don't want to blow it up Any help would be much appreciated ;D

They told me to move some connectors about, not a problem as I've spliced it into the loom behind the speedo & cut their plugs off anyway. Basically there are four wires coming out of the speedhealer Red goes to the speed sensor power supply Black to earth White to the speed sensor trigger Green to the speedo instead of the sensor trigger wire. Simples

Just to set the record straight the harness they supplied is correct & the speed sensor I bought had the wires in the socket in the wrong position The guy at HealTeck electronics who manufacture the V4 could not have been more helpfull ;D

Cool, Thanks for the update mate. I need to order up the sensors and I will have what i need for one of my projects then. I was wondering about ordering the Cherry or just buying a used one from a modern bike off ebay, but reckon buying new seems the best plan, same for the temp.

I was looking online and thought they were about $40 in the USA, plus a bit of post of course... hmm...
Cool info on the Fazer sensors, much appreciated mate. Assume the Fazer speedo sensor might also work, but I guess that could be hit and miss depending on the dash years etc.
Cheers for the heads up m8!
