Hi All,on a 250lc should I be able to see the oil pump plunger moving in and out when I operate the kickstart?because I am getting close to starting my rebuild and want to be sure the pump is working as it should.
Thanks in advance,Cheers Andy.

It takes a lot of revolutions to make the plunger move in and out so very little movement using the kick start. When I first started mine I used a temporary fuel tank with premix. An old RD oil tank, hanging on fence. This way you can check and adjust pump etc plus it makes it easier to get at things with no tank fitted.

Hi All,the bike is running now and the pump is working as it should but how the F**K do you stop the engine when the rod of the pump is out at its most travel to check the gap with a feeler, any tips most welcome.
