My head is goosed. Bent to the point where flattening it would reduce the squish to the point where I would call it 'unsafe.'
But I have a spare,
Straight but it has a load of small detonation marks pressed into the profile by aluminium shards from big end failure.
What is the best way to smooth these out of the head with out dramatically changing the profile of the dome?

i used to tickle them up in the 4 jaw chuck in the works lathe, pipet measurments to balance each.....like the lads say tho is an adequate solution. dont chuck the warped one.....lads who still have access to a 4 jaw chuck would be glad of it
