hello lads can anybody help me took forks apart to do fork seals but when i went to pull them apart one of the washers got stuck on the bottom end of the forks any body got any idea how to get it out

You'll need to be a bit more accurate, which washer are you referring to and stuck how.

hello shytalk the lower bush passed through the top bush and jammed in the top of the lower leg its says in the workshop manual that u can use a bearing exstractor tool which i dont have have u any advice on getting the bush out thanks mick

has the old fork seal come out the ally fork lower?the big washer that sits just under the fork seal should come out easily if the frok seal is out.can u put a pic up.

cant put a picture up at the moment scott its the top bush that is jammed on the lower leg i pulled the two fork legs apart and was left with top bush left in lower leg the bush is stucked just underneath where the fork seal goes if this makes any sense cheers mick

its the brass washer thingy hes talking bout............i think he needs a bearing puller to get it off by what hes saying

So you've tried to pull the stantions off and the lowers and the metal bushes have overlapped and jammed into the lowers I think that the only way for them to split is to use the stantions as a slide hammer themselves and try to force the bushes past each other.

in the picture the top of the two bushings is jammed in the bottom fork if that makes sence

have u removed......the seal retaining clip......then the seal....then the washer Try heating the top of the leg where the seal sits with heat gun or pour boiling water over it.might pull out then
