I checked my swingarm bolt again to be sure this morning but it doesnt have a grease nipple... its a normal sort of swing arm bolt and never seems to have had one... i did wonder why it seemed newish LOL....
I assume if i had the correct swingarm bolt with the nipple i would be fine just greasing the nipple (just love doing that!) or do people advise to do something else these days like drilling it to be like the YPVS etc?

There are two types of LC swingarm bolt, early and late. It's only the later ones that have the grease nipple. You could drill grease channels if you so wish, or buy one already done.

Ahh so how did the models without the drilled bolt get the grease to the bearings? would i be better off going that route i wonder?
I guess it comes down to the price of the spindles... obviously fitting a new one with a nipple is simplest... anyone know what they cost?

34 notes is ok.... but in the meantime i was chatting to a mate who used to race and road ride LCs and he let slip he had a box of axles and swing arm bolts, within mins id found what looked to be right and when i got it home it fits thru the swingarm and is the right length but seems to get caught up on the frame holes... it measures 0.2mm thicker than the other bolt ive got... I could try and make it fit but reckon i should just get the 34quid one...

I have both an 81 and an 82 350 LC. Both have oem grease nipples on the swinger bolt/shaft. One at each end actually.

Ok, I am lost... looked at that site and cant find those bolts... lots of other goodies but not that one... He has never had them listed on his site, usually in his ebay shop. I looked but he doesn't have any listed in his ebay shop atm, but if you call him he usually does them a bit cheaper so avoiding the ebay fees. This is his ebay shop: stores.ebay.co.uk/rdbitz
